Use numbers and ranges separated by commas, e.g. 1,3-5,8. Spaces are ignored.

Understanding remove pages

Removing pages produces a copy of the document without the sheets you selected. The deletion is real — the page objects are not carried into the output — which is what makes this different from hiding pages in a viewer.

It is not, however, a redaction tool. If a page you delete contained sensitive text, deleting it removes the whole page, but text you want hidden inside a page you keep needs Redact PDF instead.

Because output is a freshly written document, incremental-update history from the original file does not travel with it, which is generally a good thing for privacy.

When you would use it

—Stripping the internal cover sheet before sending a report to a client.
—Dropping blank pages produced by a scanner's auto-feed.
—Removing a pricing annexe from a document shared with a third party.
—Cutting terms-and-conditions boilerplate from an archived copy.

Practical tips

Count pages in the physical order of the file, not the printed folio numbers.
Removing a page never renumbers the remaining ones inside the file; add fresh numbering with Page Numbers if the sequence must look continuous.
Keep the original until you have checked the result — deletion cannot be undone from the download.

Troubleshooting

The wrong pages disappeared: Ranges are inclusive and one-based. 3-5 removes three pages starting at the third sheet.
File size barely changed: Shared resources such as embedded fonts stay in the document. Run Compress PDF to reclaim space.
