Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026

These terms govern your use of PDFMaster AI. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the tools.

The service

PDFMaster AI provides browser-based document tools free of charge. All processing runs on your own device; we do not receive, store or process your files. The service is offered as-is and as-available. We may add, change or withdraw tools at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the files you process and for holding the rights necessary to do so. You must keep your own backups: because operations happen locally and produce a new file, a failed conversion or a closed tab can lose unsaved work.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to:

  • process material that infringes copyright or other rights you do not hold;
  • remove protection from documents you are not authorised to modify;
  • handle content that is illegal in your jurisdiction;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the site or its infrastructure;
  • republish the site's tools or content as your own service.

No professional advice

The guides and articles published here are general technical information about document formats and software. They are not legal, financial or compliance advice. In particular, the signature tool produces a visible signature and not a qualified electronic signature under eIDAS or comparable frameworks, and the redaction tool should be verified by you before any document is released.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text and original code are ours. The tools are built on third-party open-source libraries — including pdf-lib, pdf.js, Tesseract.js, jsPDF, mammoth and SheetJS — which remain governed by their own licences. You retain all rights in the documents you process; we claim none.

Advertising

The site displays advertising to cover its running costs. We do not endorse advertised products and are not party to any transaction you enter into with an advertiser. See the privacy policy for how advertising data is handled.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, which will always carry a revision date.
